Welcome to Lithia Park in Ashland, OR

After Oregon Gardens, I headed down to my niece's house. She and her husband, and my first great-niece - now just over 19 months old - live in a section of Medford.

On Saturday, we (my niece, her husband, Reya, and I) headed out with a plan of walking around Lithia Park in Ashland, which covers about 100 acres total. There is a Japanese garden (unfortunately closed for some sort of work right now), grassy areas, trails & walking paths, pickleball courts, a volleyball court, swim reservoir, picnic areas, a playground, and lots more. We knew that the outing wouldn't be too long, given the expected temperature of about 104F (40C). Not my favorite type of weather at all, and not great for a toddler for extended periods.

We did spend about an hour-and-a-half or two hours wandering, listening to a small group of musicians playing, walking in the stream and letting Reya enjoy the swings. After leaving the park, we headed to a restaurant to have a late lunch, and then back home.

Here are a few pictures of the park, and of my family. Reya is the cutest!
