I spent the next couple of days in Louisville and Lexington, KY. I have been to Louisville several times over the years. I have friends there, so my time there this trip was really just personal time.
I had never spent any real time in Lexington. You guys know how I am about trees. And nature. My first day in Lexington was very rainy. The second was better, although changeable. I decided to visit the University of Kentucky Arboretum. It has several different sections, and it was lovely. I ended up cutting the visit just a little short - you will see why later in the pictures. Watch the sky and enjoy!
After KY, I headed to OH. I caught up with old friends, saw the eclipse (I didn't include any of my pictures here - there were lots of better ones posted at the time), and then wound my way back to NH over the course of a few days. Unfortunately, as I drove through NY and VT, it was mostly through rain. And I have posted lots of pictures of those places in the past.
The trip lasted just about 6 weeks. And I was happy to get home. But the road continues to call. The next post will be the start of about 4 weeks of driving, with stops at the Mensa Foundation Colloquium and Mensa AG (in KC) and then Denver for the Dabrowski Congress. But in between, there will be at least a couple of national parks, and maybe an arboretum and or botanical garden along the way. Maybe more than one!
