Tuesday, the 8th of October. Time to leave Darwin ... I'm truly sorry that I didn't get to see more of the surrounding area, but this climate just didn't really work for me. Today I head back south, to Western Australia and Perth. I have a few days free, and then over the weekend will be a hanger-on at the Mensa IBD meeting. Seeing friends, doing some tours, and being a part of the international Mensa community for a few days.
I will do my best to update you with anything interesting, beautiful, and/or fun that I do, see, or experience! Stay tuned!
Update: I arrived and was checked into my hotel (Novotel Perth Langly, across the street from the Pan Pacific which is the primary IBD hotel) by about 9:30pm on Tuesday. Today I spent some time relaxing, but also went out walking around the city, including a trip to Elizabeth Quay which has water, shops, restaurants, and a whole bunch of people walking around. Just getting the lay of the land. It was a pleasure to be out in temperatures around 70-ish (or 20C) with a nice breeze. Much more my kind of weather.
