It's amazing how busy one can be when relaxing during a {mostly} vacation in VT. Somehow, despite going out most days walking/hiking, and taking pictures along the way, I was not able - or perhaps willing - to take time out to write blog posts! Now I must catch up, so here goes.

Tuesday's walk was approximately 2.3 miles, along what is called West Greenway, a part of the Mad River Trails. I saw it described as a "charming path along the Mad River with beautiful views of vistas of the mountains and farm fields ... and enjoy the sounds and views of the Mad River." Unfortunately, the area is now covered with (highly invasive) Japanese knotweed, so the views of the rivers are harder to come by along the trail. Still, there were several spots where one could get close to the river. And interesting trees and open land. We had prototypical New England fall weather, and we definitely enjoyed ourselves.
