I woke up to rain and wind, and a planned excursion to the Australia Zoo. I looked out the window of my hotel room, and said "Maybe not ....". Instead I spent some time catching up on some emails, curating photos to post here and ultimately perhaps some other places, and relaxing with some reading for a little bit.
By early afternoon it looked like the weather was clearing somewhat, so I put on my comfy walking shoes and started for the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. (You know how I feel about gardens!)
It didn't pour, but it did rain, off and on, the whole I walked over around and back a few hours later. Still, I got some walking and some interesting pictures.
I talked about Banyan Fig trees in an earlier post. This was the biggest I saw in Brisbane Botanic Garden
I think tomorrow morning I'm going to head to the zoo on my own - that is if it isn't pouring rain (which is actually what the forecast calls for). I guess we shall see.
