Brisbane - A Free Day!

I mentioned in yesterday's post that I had considered going to the Zoo today, depending on weather. Well, Mother Earth had other plans. It was absolutely pouring when I woke up, and kept pouring.

I took some time to do some work on a project I am in the middle of and also finished a book I had been reading. I had plans with my friend Lutza to get together today. We had kind of planned to do outdoor things, but the weather was still threatening when we touched base around 1:00pm. Instead, we booked Thai massages (lovely after 2 weeks of traveling for me) and then I went and hung out with her and her partner in their gorgeous apartment. I have a few photos of the main lobby of the building. Just stunning. Also, a couple of photos of the sunset from their balcony.

Lutza and I have professional interests in common, and I had the opportunity to look at what's she's doing - amazing work and I think transformational in many ways once it is really up-and-going.

Then, and Uber back to my hotel (in the rain again), and time to start packing! My flight leaves for Cairns in the morning.
