Since I am so far behind on my blog posts, I'm going to pretend that I am able to go back in time and post just after each day's adventure. This post is about activities on Friday, October 7th.
After yesterday's 'eternal climb' I was a little relieved to wake up to rain and fog this morning. Especially as I had some actual consulting work to complete and a couple of Zoom meetings as well. My cousins and I hung around our temporary home for the morning and into the afternoon; it was nice to have a little quiet time.
By mid-afternoon though, the rain had stopped and the sky was lightening. I had completed my meetings and my work, and we said "Let's get back outside!". Our time yesterday at Boyce Hill had been cut a little short by our exhaustion and by the fact that I had to get back home to a meeting. We knew that there was a pond off to the left from the base of the path up. So, we definitely needed to see that! Off we went to explore and walk just a little. Fortunately, the path goes all the way around, so here are memories from different perspectives.
This was a lovely short but joyous interlude in an otherwise mundane day.
